From the age of 15.5 you can take your theory exam, but you are not yet allowed to drive on the road. Are you 16 years or older? Then you are allowed to drive a moped or scooter, provided that you have of course obtained your AM driving license. Obtaining your scooter driving license at Verkeersschool De Ridder naturally starts with obtaining the theory certificate. Don’t worry! You can count on excellent guidance from us so that you fully understand all the traffic rules.
The scooter driving lesson is given in groups of a maximum of 2 students. We do this for safety. The instructor then has a good overview so that he can intervene in dangerous situations in time. Because the group consists of a maximum of 2 students, you are guaranteed personal attention from our instructor.
When obtaining your scooter driving license at Verkeersschool De Ridder in the region of The Hague, the practical part consists of 2x 2 hours of scooter driving lessons plus 2 hours of driving followed by the CBR practical exam. We arrange all the necessary equipment for the practical lessons, such as a helmet, rain gear and a communication earpiece. However, it is mandatory to wear long trousers and closed shoes.
The exam takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. You must prove that you have control over the scooter, that you apply the rules and that you anticipate traffic.

Some rules and conditions
If you choose to end your driving training at Verkeersschool De Ridder due to a move or other reasons, you are eligible for a refund of unused tuition and exam costs, two years after the start of your lesson package. See BOVAG conditions. The amount to be refunded does not include any lessons or exams already scheduled. An administration fee of €45.00 will be charged.
If you still have driving lessons credit from your package after you have passed your driving test, you will simply get the amount of the driving lessons back. An administration fee of €29.00 will be charged.
